Breeding Area for Mosquitoes: Garden Pools

Mosquitoes typically breed and lay their eggs in water clogged with such vegetation as waterlettuce, hydrilla, waterhyacinth, and cattail, authors Patrick O'Connor-Marer and Kathy Keatley Garvey wrote in their book, Aquatic Pest Control.
